I'm always amazed that if you're going to get shots in your rear end and your vital signs are part of the protocol; that after your B/P and pulse are taken, you're not laid face down on a treatment table, have your underwear lowered and get your temperature taken, and either while it's being taken or immediately after, you are given the injections.

As one who suffers from white coat hypertension, every medical visit involved having my blood pressure taken. When the nurse once wanted to take it before giving me booster shots, I convinced her to give me the injections first because she would get a better reading when I was no longer nervous. What I hadn't allowed for was the discomfort sitting down to have my blood pressure taken after getting the shots.
