Hope everyone is ready for the first race !! I think I have recruited some new players to the class. Everyone should try to bring one new racer this year. I have 10 passes on the blown combination now and it runs effortless 5.80s at 22% underdriven. Running 6.0 requires a short shift only and 6.20 requires a short shift, an anchor and blind luck, lol Nice not to have to deal with bottle pressure or spending 40 bucks to fill it. I have also acheived better fuel economy with the 2 carbs running lean at idle, and using just over 1 gallon of alcohol per pass for 6.20 and 6.0, while using 1.25 gallons for 5.80. This may seam trivial, but I am only spending 3 dollars per pass. The extra weight of the blower has helped hold the front end down making for more consistent launches. Best of all, I only launch at 3800 rpm now instead of 5800 which should keep the rods in longer as Shannon would say. Hope 2 see everyone at Kennedale on the 2.
