Ludi, Vivi and Tānia,

I read what Lud wrote about task 6, and I“d like to add an activity for the student“s interaction.

When I was at a free course of English, my teacher did this activity with my class and found it very interesting and motivating. As students enjoy competitions, the group was split into pairs (this can be adapted according to the number of students). One student was in the classroom, while the other ran the school looking for the phonetic transcriptions of words. When he/she discovered the word, ran into the room and say the word for the first phonetic transcription. The partner wrote and then left the room and then do the same as his/her colleague. The pair who discovered more transcripts in less time won the game. If possible, the prize would be a chocolate or candy, to encourage the students.

Second suggestion: for the rhyme student should do, I“d like to suggest that our students must have an example to follow. These example are from the book I used to teach, American Headway 1, first edition.

Four fine fresh fish for you.
Six silly sisters selling shiny shoes.
If a dog chews shoes, whose shoes does he choose?
