Subject: WebQuest - taks 9 Part I

By visiting the websites of WebQuest suggested I am very interested in this multimodal learning environment. Surely I would use in my classes and also, depending on the age of my students, I would ask them to create such an environment based on a certain topic. I want to highlight, among WebQuest suggested, two of them that really motivated me to want to work with this type of environment:

The WebQuest "An unforgettable journey through the Brazilian Royal Road”, at http://www.questgarden.com/82/79/2/090526185650/ got me extremely motivated to use this tool with my students. The theme addressed generates students interest and the format presented is very dynamic and easy to use. I believe that students who actually did this activity, especially those who already live in the area of Royal Road, not only put into practice their English, but better researched and learnt more about their region or our country, thereby taking an interdisciplinary work.

The WebQuest "Historical Hurricanes'”at http://questgarden.com/107/81/7/100818113624/index.htm
brings a very current issue that do not occur in our country, but can influence our life on Earth. This kind of natural phenomenon happens in many places around the world, creating a huge mess and it is important to better understand why this is happening and where it occurs with greater frequency. It is also the type of WebQuest that I would work with my students and I found extremely interesting the Quiz made for students to answer after searching better on each hurricane chosen by the group.
