Tati,

I think is not boring at all! Actually I'm doing a research on the Hstory of English language now, and I find that so huge and complex, that I'm worry if we will have enough time to cover everything.

I'm a big fan of History and I think once we understand how the language was developed, we can actually appreciate more the whole cultural aspect of this subject. And we can also help our students appreciate and understand that as well.

Haven't you guys ever heard this sentence: "Oh, English language is much easier than Potuguese, it is also so superficial, etc." Once we look back in History we can build a connection with the present time, and through that, we can all change misconceptions and show how rich any language can be.

This is how I think, in case you guys want to do something a little different it is fine for me.

Actually in our webquest we will show to our students the history of the language, they will research that too in their tasks, and as a final task we will ask them to build a connection with the present time (we will talk about that with more details). What do you think?

Regards.
