WEBQUEST: A Rainforest Journey

Topic and Introduction: I found the topic relevant and updated. It leads to environment discussion and has social impact. The introduction provides a creative and simple introduction. It is appealing and clear.


Task:
A short paragraph explains the teacher's intentions. Students play as International Scientist Agency.
The task engages students in exchanging information and post pictures. It makes the activity more interesting and interactive. The task requires synthesis of multiple sources of information, and/or taking a position, and/or going beyond the data given and making a generalization or creative product.

Process:
Are divided in two parts and they present two nice short films about rainforest biomes extracted from youtube videos. Easy-to-follow activities are provided. The process is the step-by-step description of how students will accomplish the task. Most students would know exactly where they are at each step of the process and know what to do next. Activities are clearly related. Appropriate and thematic graphic elements are used.

Evaluation:
The quality and relevance of the completed activity are evaluated. There is a clear and meaningful connection between the activities and its results in various aspects.

Conclusion:
This webquest page provides a varied resource for students to think deeply, Motivate creativity, and discover different media and gain a great understanding of the various aspects of the rainforest.
