Henry Gil Casiple Jubilan The mongoose has a high heart rate than the cobra, thus making it faster. It's also got a very tough skin making difficult for bite to be successful, combine this with its speed the mongoose has the upper hand already. But what makes the mongoose even more threatening to the cobra is the fact that the mongoose has a special acetylcholine which makes the snake's venom impossible to stick or cling on its cells.

Note: Henry Jubilan (Juboy) is a family friend of ours in Kidapawan City. When he was still a small boy, I asked permission from his mom (Manang Tengteng Rivas Jubilan) that I will take him to our farm in Bongolanon, Magpet. We hiked. Upon reaching our 4-hectare farm..and by the hillside, ..it was his first time to see a cascade (waterfalls with the height of about 15 feet. This is, aside from the Bongolanon falls which you can find in the area, the height of which is more than 100 feet. Later, when the water district of Kidapawan (with the government of Magpet's permission) tapped the water for drinking, the current of the water slowed down..but during rainy season, you can still appreciate this small falls. At times, I bathed in this falls whenever I went to our farm. I was able to find the source or the head of stream (of this falls) during the initial phase of the water district project. With a diameter of about 7 inches, the water gushes out from the side of the hill. I drank from it. It was a real mineral water, sweet, fresh and thirst-quenching) Juboy appreciated the place so much. Now, Juboy works as nurse in UK.
