NAIA Mess and Federalism

Last week NAIA was turned into a nightmare in one skid. This happened because our gateway to the world only have one runway.

Our neighbors have multiple runways while the Philippines have one to cater so many airplanes coming from around the world and from within the country.

This is incidents are avoidable if there are alternative airports, but we placed so much dependence on one runway so this predicament. And this will happen again if we will continue to rely on one runway, just like our governmental system that placed so much power on the President, and when by our emotional nature we happen to put to power a naive president, all the momemtum and gains from the past are lost in one admin only.

This is one example why there is a need to federalize so that we can start developing the regions, and they become cotributors to national wealth, unlike today where most regions are surviving from the amls (IRA) that are subsidizing the locsl governments.
