Poem for Siok Tong
By Carlo G. Soldevilla
Written on January 16, 2019

Recalling the past,
I’m thinking about the brand(s)

Which were sold in the market
Or placed in the stand:

Three flowers, Tancho and Beatles?—If searching for pomade?
When looking for milk, Klim, darigold, milkmaid?

Which product has survived?, I keep on asking myself. Soda? One can’t forget the green lem-o-lime,
Chocolate? Serge? Soap? Dahlia? For my question, I guess this is the answer: Siok Tong wine.
