‘Draft’ letter--Upon Benjie’s request for Carlo (yours truly) to make

For POPCOM ADMIN,

My stay with POPCOM for the last 20 years had been so fruitful.

There were ups and downs, and challenging moments and by G-d’s grace, and at the best of my ability, and with all modesty, I would say that I’d done my job at the very best I could, producing all my deliverables to POPCOM.
I could still recall one time when we were producing a video-documentary in the Visayas. We had a low budget that we needed to share a ‘special meal’ : the cooked head of goat with perfect dentures. ( The upper jaw of the goat went to Carlo and the lower jaw went to me. The tongue of the goat were all shared by all of us as a team.).

Upon going home from Dumaguete to Cebu, we had to bring the goat’s upper jaw and lower jaw with us because it had still some edible portion which we could reheat and eat the next day for breakfast.

The next day, when Carlo had finished reheating it, I directly told him to eat in our room because if Karen (our team leader) happens to see us eating it, she would feel like vomiting. (On the day we ordered this viand, Karen ordered ahead of us and she took the belly part of the goat and had taken one spoon of rice with the goat’s belly as her viand. Later, Carlo arrived at the dining table after ‘digging deeper’ from the bottom of the caldron the goat’s head. So Carlo happily served it (goat’s head) on the table. Karen, upon seeing our order, felt like vomiting but she could not vomit anymore the spoonful of goat meat she ate. What she did was to stop eating, gave her food to us… unable to accept the way the goat meat was prepared.

I would be retiring in June, 2020. May G-d bless us all.

Thank you.

Note: Below is one of the video documentaries we produced. I took the photos and videos and Carlo did the narration:
