SHADOWS

When the morning breaks
the sun begins
to strike on one angle of my life.
On the ground it casts
a shadow of me.

I asked the Lord:
"Why there could always be
a shadow of myself...?
Does it represent
the weaker side of me?"

When that light strikes
on the shadow,
It could no longer be found.
I prayed: "Lord, let Your light
keep shining on me."

I need to trust you Lord
in overcoming my weaknesses.
I totally depend on your love.
Every time I think ‘You see
the shadow casts by me.’,
I just feel I don't deserve
of Your righteousness.

When the sun had set
in the final hour
I came to realize
that shadows are mere
illusions of myself..

..and how could I
believe it's real
if it's only just a shadow.
It doesn't even show
a picture of myself.

But I still prayed:
"Even then, dear Lord
Let me not hide a shadow
for all things are revealed
before your eyes."
