Getting Uphill

(a poem for my lady customers in my business selling socks)
Written on June 21, 2013

All things in this world would wear and tear
Including these socks you will buy from me, dear.
Buying socks from me will make you feel
Blessed and elated, head-over-heel.

Wearing these socks will make you dance with elegance and grace
Even if your dance partner has the frightening monster's face.
G-d forbid, if this won't push through-our business deal.
I'll simply reason 'life is hard' and it's getting uphill.

Yesterday I displayed these socks at the office library.
I was scolded: "Carlo, stop. Don't do this. Oh my golly!"
(Note: Selling in government offices is not allowed by the Civil Service Commission especially during office hours. This happened 5 years ago.).
..so I hid those socks in the ‘holy of holies’.
Soon it's beginning to have its success stories.

Sometimes I think *SM started it out with shoes.
I'd rather start with socks. I hope I won't have woes.
See, this poem is made because of my few favorite things.
From the Sound of Music it echoes to our loved ones and siblings.
