When is the SONA?, I asked myself.
Sometime next week, let me check the date.

Rallyists are expected to march in the streets, so does Digong’s supporters.
Security will be tight, I hope that day there will be no offenders.

Will Digong utter the longest speech or will he just say few word(s)?
I like it if he tells stories. Something like a parable-It could be a dream of ‘heaven on earth’(?).

What Digong had envisioned for this country--May we gladly support him..
..especially if they will be done for the good of our fellowmen—both for the old ones and the children.

Will Digong have to borrow Abe’s (Abraham Lincoln) line for his SONA’s introduction?:

‘Four score and seven years ago’ – He may talk or orate like Abe (One score is 20 years –so that’s 87 years ago).

And what happened?

Abe continued: “Our fathers brought forth in this continent a new nation, conceived in liberty and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal”…
Abewas dedicating a cemetery that time in that speech of him--honoring the dead—Those who died for their country (U.S.), whose hearts were geared toward preserving democracy.

Democracy of the people? Yes.
For the people? Yes
By the people? Truly yes.

Digong knows the real value of democracy.

So let me summarize Abe’s speech by citing another- about what he said.
“..we cannot dedicate. We cannot consecrate. We cannot hallow this ground…” (To truly appreciate Abe’s speech, please read the Gettysburg Address. Thanks.)

Just think about ribbon-cutting for the newly-opened grave or cemetery dedicated to those who died in battle for the sake of democracy. Then think of the deeper meaning of Abe’s words (why he said this): “..we cannot dedicate. We cannot consecrate. We cannot hallow this ground (cemetery).” Those who came before us (in the Philippine setting, set your mind into thinking of Lapu-lapu and other Filipino heroes) had already made their utmost sacrifice and they are the ones ‘in-absentia’ worthy enough to be in this place of dedication..not us.

If I translate it in vernacular (Cebuano) , it goes this way:
(Sa wa pa niya madedikar ang lubnganan, dunay gisulti si Abe Lincoln nga presidente sa America sauna):

“Ato kining ginadedikar ang lubnganan alang sa mga sundalo nga ni sakripisyo sauna para duna kita’y tinuod nga demokrasya sa mga tawo, para og alang sa mga tawo.”

Note: I don’t know if ‘Longest Speech’ or ‘Abe’ or ‘Alang sa Mga Tawo’ would be the best title for this poem.
