Grasses

Sometimes, I’ve been pondering or trying to know who’s brainchild or idea is this ‘tranfer of POPCOM’s supervision from DOH to NEDA.’
For me, it seems that the one who had this thing in mind does not truly care.., causing the POPCOM employees feel belittled, and I….

….truly believe that we, POPCOM employees, belonging to the rank-and-file are ‘fixated’ on this magna carta benefit that we have,
And this is such a big help to our families, providing us food, fares and a little comfort in life, that as we serve the government, this benefit somehow, had made us feel glad.

The one aspiring for this ‘change (transfer)’ might see it (hazard pay & other benefits) as small or tiny grasses that could be sacrificed in exchange for that dream of what POPCOM would become,
But for mere employees, like insects , they may consider these tiny grasses as a great forest-- a real, tangible monetary blessing, helping us cope with our daily needs and susten(ance).

Note: I think the one who is eager for this ‘transfer’ forgot to tell Digong about its (transfer) implication.

If you ask me ‘ Who is he or she who truly loves POPCOM?’, my answer would be he or she who has been here (with POPCOM) for such a long time, having stood the test of time, able to discern what’s best for the welfare of its (POPCOM) employees.
