Subject: For My Fellow by Carlo G. Soldevilla

For my fellow Tarlaquenos and especially to the beloved citizens of Concepcion, I'm so glad to be back here once more to pass the crown to the next beauty queen.

I would like to say that becoming a beauty queen is a gift from G-d and also a privilege and an opportunity to show to the world what a woman can do.

It took me sacrifices and commitment to win the crown. I did not covet for it. It came in due time, in G-d's perfect time.

My advocacy has always been good education for young people like you and me. It is the only way to get out of poverty. Beauty is an asset but pursuing our scholastic goals is necessary to prepare us for the future.

I am a beauty queen, and by G-d's grace, I wlll also be finishing my college degree next year. I have, had ups and downs in life but this does not deter me to pursue my plans. I just keep moving on, striving toward perfection, trying to realize what I have been dreaming of and hoping to become.

In all modesty I would say, Concepcion is a haven of beauties..and of handsome guys, too. Our place had been a part in building up our nation, leaving a legacy of good governance and proper administration.

It is my dream that someday, I will continue to be a part of inspiring the people of Concepcion, in one way or another. Though I did not hurdle the prize of becoming the beaty queen of the last pageant covering the whole lalawigan ng Tarlac, this has not stopped me to pursue worthwhile goals in life.

Each day, I strive. I learn. I persevere.

To the next person who won crown for the Binibining Concepcon, I wish you luck and success in your endeavors. May our beauties become a bridge that connects and not a wall that divides, an inspiration for others to strive, to excel so as to contribute to the welfare of the Philippine society. Let us always learn to wait, to do things at the right time, to live up to the highest standard, not forgetting our G-dly values and the things which our parents have always remind us of.

That's all and may G-d bless us today and forevermore.

Mabuyay tayong lahat. I'm Jezreel Capiral, now signing off.
