It’s not about the dog.
It’s about Rambo’s struggle.
In the first ‘First Blood’ Movie:
He talked to himself: “No time for Love, Rambo.”

The story about the cold war, it’s the west wanting to dominate or rule over the east…and U.S. was having a war with Vietnam. (This time the song ‘Blowing in the Wind’ was written. ‘How many roads must a man walk down…referring to the youth of U.S. being sent to Vietnam to fight the Vietnamese, resulting to win of Vietnam in that said war. 20,000 US. foot soldiers died in that battle.).
Vietnam stood firm or held their ground. The vietcongs are experts in jungle warfare.

Vietnam noodles, filled with herbs & probably the world’s best, may have strengthened t hem.
..and for a Vietcong, he may last for 2 weeks in the mountain with only a single ear of corn for his meals throughout the 14 days, while for an American, he may need a dozen burgers to sustain him for 2 weeks.
