Me and You

I was made to believe it was not true (the existence of the Tasadays).
But Karen’s interview is a strong evidence-about these men and women & about their children. Long time ago…
…they lived in caves—A thing for researchers and anthropologists to be curious about.
On the way they live or hunt, they way they wear clothes, the way they form communities.

The worst thing that a man or woman can do is to blot out or erase the history of another—about their people and their culture
By sharing wrong information, to discredit them of a credit that is due them.

I believe there are Tasadays as there are Tirurays
I grew up in Mindanao and it’s common that I heard of Ubo Manobo, Bagobo, Yakan, and other tribes.

Karen had ferried out the truth about the Tasadays
A thing which needs not to be ascertained anymore after they are fully seen, understood and analyzed as they passed through the lens of the camera.
Once they were cavemen and cave women and..
They lived in seclusion, away from from civilization (One would say).

One’s (Tasaday) culture became the other person’s discovery.
And the latter shared about their story
Only later to be invalidated by a foreigner who came to observe (the Tasadays).

But think about the incident, about the time when he (the foreigner) came to verify if the Tasadays people are true.
Of course when he came late, he may have never discovered the ‘water in its bubbling period’.
The urgency to confirm or verify should have been done at once..
…and not to let time pass by when ‘everything has changed’.

The proof is, the cave still exists.
The cave dwellers may have changed their clothes,
But the cave has preserved its landscape.

Now, I am made to believe that the story is true.
There really is that Tasaday People, it’s got to be…… ‘me and you.’
