Precision and Perfection (My 2-page, Second Business Guide & a Note to My Sea Captain Brother, Ferds)

Anything- Products, goods or services must be ‘rendered’ with precision and perfection. If not, it will form into ‘abstract’ (obscure, disorganized, etc..) like a painting which you only can understand.

You are or you were into various businesses, and by now, you must have known what went wrong and what went right.

In networking, for example, you can identify who were the beneficiaries, ..increasing their ‘net worth’.

If you were included in that having achieved an income, good. If not, it would still be good, somehow, as it gives you a learning opportunity.

Short-term? – Those businesses which gives a hefty or hasty promise that, in a short while your investment will be doubled is mentioned in Kiyosaki’s book ‘Conspiracy of the Rich’ . He call this as ‘shark’ .

Kiyosaki, however, wants us to invest in tuna, meaning, although it may take a long while—like investing in blue chips or oil as long as it will guarantee you an income, go for it. This is how I understand what he wrote in his book.

For example, you invest in oil which is still to be drilled and you buy oil stocks, you would someday be lucky if the oil company listed in the stock market will be able to drill oil , not soil or water. By then, you have hit it, and being a stockholder, you will have a return for profit.

‘Business goals’ must be précised, time-bound. It will make one save energy and money. One does not need the biggest truck wrench to remove the flat tire of a motorcycle. Each thing is made for a purpose.

I have forgotten to add one more thing other than precision and perfection..and that is, form and function.

If you take some time to observe nature and apply your observation to your business, you will begin to wonder why the peacocks have exact feathers, or why the ostriches have massive body and long neck, why the zebra has black and white stripes like that of pedestrian lanes, why some deer have spots, and why the pigs’ snouts are not like that of the elephant’s nose or tusk.
My last note is about perfection. Airplane pilots are perfectionists. There is no parking space on air so they need to check the engine and all the plane parts before flying. They consider the wind, the weather, the forecast, where to take off and where to land. There is that nice wish for the pilot: ‘May your number of landings be equal to your number of take offs.’ It means ‘May you be safe.’ The same is true with business. Harmony, peace, contentment, satisfaction – All these we desire to be ‘inherent’ in our business so that one’s ‘busyness’ must always be geared on these worthwhile goals.
The gems, the Rolex, the game of golf, flight instruments, design of shoes, arrangements of office tables and chairs, and even the flower arrangement consider these two words: precision and perfection. Would a beautiful lady appreciate a bouquet placed between two (2) barbecue sticks?
Before I end… even a worried mother, after giving birth to her son or daughter, could be worried if all the body parts of her baby are perfect.

-end-

Mind-boggling question:

From his bed, and in a bachelor’s pad, if 1,2,3 is the ‘linear arrangement’ of the things in the house and 1 is sports shoes; 2, travelling bag; and 3, bath towel, which thing must be nearest to the sleeping bachelor or spinster (for that matter), so that, after he wakes up, he can easily use them.
