He Makes Good With His Promises

Written on January 17, 2018

He was angry and he sinned not (Ephesians 4:26)
He voiced out his concern..about the ‘mouth’ to be shut.

He’s a man who deeply knows about spirituality,
When it comes to life application of bible verses, he is so ready.

He chose the road less travelled,
the narrow gate..and he knows the meaning of liberty.

Why I always vouch for the integrity of
Digong? It’s because I know him and I know his style because I’ve lived in Davao for more than a decade.
He is our pride, ..the Brave Heart since the Alsa Masa days—

Those times when Agdao, Davao was called Nicaragdao and there were several troubles in the street,
Those times, Davao was restless.. the pick-pocketing was rampant in the old Maa terminal and this was, later on, put to stop.

Rody’s good leadership brought changes .
Later, the people (Davaoenos) became vigilant and their community they tried to protect as they were always on the watch.

Great changes took place when Digong became Mayor . Davao became prosperous.

Before, there were only Gaisano Claveria, Alemar’s Bookstore, Gaisano Ilustre, Gaisano Bolton.
But now, there is SM and other establishments. (Of course, I cannot forget the Davao of old which had Merco, Times Beach, Bongoyan Beach, Menseng Restaurant, GAP farm, etc...

Because of Digong’s leadership, Davao’s businesses flourished and sprouted like mushrooms,. The streets became busy,
( Before, there was also in Uyanguren Street a famous mall-NCCC).

Peace and order led to what is called prosperity.

Rody will always be Rody, he is consistent in fulfilling his advocacies.
He is serious. As you see, he makes good with his promises.

Note:
We (Rody and yours truly) have a common friend and ‘adviser’ in Davao City. He is Emmanuel Galicia, Sr. , the daughter of whom (the latter) is my close friend and classmate during our Ateneo Davao days.
