When the gas tank is empty, and suddenly you’re out of fuel,
In the province, we have an option: Use the wood in the dirty kitchen..then you feel..

..better, that you can still cook food even if the store selling gas closes in your cooking time at 5:00 (p.m.).
There you go, cook the eggplant.., tortang talong is best prepared through the wooden fire.

Its (eggplant) peel easily removed when the fire’s at one-foot height (partly ‘consuming’ the eggplant).
Turning the violet eggplant peel to black. Soon the scent comes out, it’s cooked..and yet..

You still need to fry it (the eggplant) after mixing it with the scrambled egg.
When it turns brown, turn it on the other side, put some salt. Torta for dinner. Unique! (Usually, it’s –torta-served for breakfast.).
