Subject: Age: There are 21 contestants who are 14-16 years old who might as well not even show up to Teen USA. The won't win. MUO wants a teen who is out of high school and can spend the year in NYC. Pageant Update's website shows that the following are 16-ME, MA, MN, MT, OR, RI, VT, VA, WV, WY. 15 yrs- FL, GA, HI, NJ, NY, WI, 14 yrs.- KY The following ages were not listed but if they aren't at least 17 and out of high school, might as well stay home - IN, OK, PA, SD. Maybe they could have a Teen division that doesn't have a national pageant and a pre-Miss that is a high school graduate who would go to nationals. It really isn't fair to half of the contestants. I would say at least half, if not more, starting from local prelims, to state, to nationals are 14-16 years old. Allie LaForce won her state at 15, turned 16 not long after, and became Miss Teen USA. She was a very young 16 at the time of her win.
