Date Posted: 05:55:45 08/11/11 Thu After 2 hours, I actually got into kind of a weirdly fascinating mood. I started playing my acoustic guitar (which reminded me of being high for the first time it sounded so good.) And trust me, if MY acoustic guitar playing sounds good, I must be on drugs. Haha. Then I sat on my couch and opened up a book. My biggest fear at this point, was being able to actually fall asleep with no sort of intoxicants in me at all. So I opened up a book, and read about 60 pages of it. Then the most amazing phenomenon happened. If anything could validate something like Kratom to a worthless junkie like me or you, it's this: I realized I had stopped reading about 5 minutes prior to noticing that my chin was on my chest. Yes. I NODDED out. For someone on a high-horse, who has never been held hostage by a synthetic opiate -- this is probably a disgusting act of malfeasance to you. For someone like me, I realized. I HAD FOUND A WAY TO QUIT OPIATES. The stuff really works. I will tell you this. I couldn't sleep a wink that night. So I did more research and found the perfect solution to sleep during OxyContin withdrawals. Kurt Cobain even wrote a song about it. It's Imodium AD Syrup. This stuff, in a sense of stopping certain withdrawal symptoms, is similar to an opiate. It IS an opiate. No, it will not get you high. It does not pass the blood/brain barrier. But it did one thing for me: STOPPED MY RESTLESS ASS LEGS. Even on the Kratom, while I felt kind of good, and had almost no desire to eat an Oxy. I still had trouble sitting still in bed. So I drank half a bottle of Imodium AD (exceed the recommended dose, you're a junkie, not a sober conservative on a high-horse). I slept deeper, and sounder than I have in years. I also had so much energy, that I went back to the gym for the first time in months and hit the eliptical trainer! Now, one thing to consider about Kratom, is that after a few days, your tolerance is that of a metal skinned horse. Meaning, it won't give you the feeling of being tranquilized by opiates. But honestly, YOU WON'T WANT TO FEEL THAT WAY. This Kratom stuff has saved my life. I actually am weaning off of it right now, and find no withdrawals at all. I haven't taken an OxyContin in 3 weeks. For the first time in years, I can actually count on being awake all day. My sex life is on fire right now (that sounds suspect. no I'm not burning LOL), and my poop is back to normal. How I self-detoxed from OxyContin: 8-10 tablespoons of Kratom powder (trust me, anyone with an Opiate tolerance does not need to worry about nausea or anything) Imodium AD (for the restless legs, and to help put you to sleep at night) Exercise (produces natural opiates in your brain, and helps heal the opiate recepters and helps relax your muscles. You don't need to be a professional athlete. Hell, go on a 3 mile walk. Low impact if need be. Or hit the gym and do some cardio. Just make sure you burn about 250-500 calories for exercise, and your muscles and body will be calm and controlled) Good luck folks. You do not need to be a slave to OxyContin any longer. Find good quality Kratom, and take it (make sure you take a lot of it), and your life can be restored back to normal. [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
