Fact is, there are places where if you are a volunteer fire fighter, don’t get caught racing through traffic to go save some ones house. Hell, once in Clarksville TN they wrote a fire truck a ticket for speeding going on a call with all the red lights and siren going. We need some kind of standard. 3 of the states I’ve been in we have had some one impersonating a cop with a blue light, and raping women. Fact is, how are we suppose to stop people from getting them, if in some states they are legal to sell to any one. And now the fade with teenagers, is pretty blue lights on there lowered rice burners. I write them as often as possible. If a volunteer firemen are not given rights as an emergency vehicle, then they have no rights to any lights. BLUE and RED should mean get the hell out of the way where ever you go. I hate going to the in-laws in NY and seen VOL Firemen sitting at red lights in traffic with there pretty blue light just a flashing and no where to go.
