Most states do not use blue. The way I see it, more states are using red or blue/red combo. It's only you southern folk and the wierdos in Chicago who use blue.

I say no national standards. I prefer local tradition.

Besides, I don't think it's an issue that requires Federal involvement. Do you remember when the Feds tried making a mandatory color (puke green) for fire trucks? It didn't work.
