UHHH, If he retired this year after 30 years service he would have started in 1972, not 1962 and if he was 18 when he started, he would have been born in 1954, thus being about 48 years old. Part of being a good cop is keeping the facts straight. "Now let me see, the posted speed is 55 and you were going 65; that's 20 miles over the limit...." Ooops. Also, most of the guys who had Caprices have tried to keep them as long as possible; That says something. FHP has almost completely retired them all and is now retiring 96-97 CVs.
