My opinion is that if someone restored a 1960 Rambler American Police car, which actually were in service by the way, I would want to encourage him, congratulate him, and recognize his efforts as it must be terribly difficult to find parts for one. Not ridicule him because his car was AMC and not a MOPAR, FORD, or CHEVY. In fact right now I am helping a real police agency do a Studebaker, because that's what they really had in the 50's. I used to come to copcar dot com every day, twice a day. But as it got meaner and meaner in the nasty comments, I went to another site and have been there regularly, twice a day or more. But I will come here once in awhile and check it out, and if all the comraderie and helpfulness come back that was once here -- I will be back too. I always recognize we all need to take an inventory and change our ways sometimes, MYSELF VERY MUCH INCLUDED... I got in this hobby before it was a hobby in the area where I lived and did my stuff through the police. It is wonderful when we hobbyists all help each other, and respect that while a Rambler or Studebaker might not be the best squad ever built, they were a part of our Great American History and Heritage, and there is a place of honor for those bold enough to correctly restore one!!!
