In reply to: copcar widow 's message, "Geez boys, settle down. I don't think anyone would have expected the MSP and the people who helped organize this to invite people from thousands of miles away, I'm sure that wasn't because they didn't believe you were worthy but instead because they didn't think you'd be able to attend. And i'd have to guess that they didn't personally know each of you guys getting your undies in a bunch over not being invited...how would they invite you, on a public forum such as this which would totally negate the request the MSP made for "invitation only" attendees." on 18:13:33 11/14/02 Thu

There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with an invitation-only show. There's also nothing wrong with keeping it "for the local boys" (though there were some who traveled a good distance).

But when one of your boys comes in and says it was by invitation only based on the quality of your vehicle or a maturity level of an individual, the rest of us have to believe we didn't get invites for those reasons as well.

Call a spade a spade (sorry Slamma, no offense intended). Somebody knew somebody who was able to get an invite and was told they could invite a few close friends but not make a big deal out of it. That's probably the case. And if so, I comprende.

And I am also glad that you guys got the opportunity and in fact did take that opportunity and apparently made a major inroad. I think it would be awesome if the MSP was so impressed that next time they'll say "bring more".
