Franklin,
There are some on this board that thinks that unless it is an "antique"... IE... 20-30 years old... That it shouldn't be included in the category of "restored". My car is a 1991 Ford Crown Vic, and alot of people probably think mine is too "NEW"! But the fact is, mine was probably in worse shape than Dave's Monaco... (HE WAS VERY LUCKY!) IF you get a 1999, just be careful, don't drive it marked, (Removable equipment), and be careful how you present yourself. I have only been stopped once, and that was because the officer recognized the car, it was the car he used to drive, and wanted to look at it. He also got me all of the records for the car! Finding an older car is possible, but they are getting harder and harder to find. Maybe after you get into the hobby for a while, you will be lucky enough to come across an older car. Then you won't be harrassed as much about having a newer car! Tom W.
