Subject: 20 lights? That's ridiculous

In reply to: Secret Squirrel 's message, "Yeah, don't forget the 20 lights for the rear deck" on 04:40:18 10/10/02 Thu

It was determined during the Brentwood Mall Security Wannabe Vehicle Perfomance Trials in 1999 that the number of lights in the rear deck definitely is proportional to the attained speed of the CVPI. But 20 is adverse.

What they found is that if you do a mix of rotators, LED and strobe, your top-end speed begins to decrease at 16 lights. Now if you only have 10 rotators, that is the maximum number before top-end speed loss. Strobes: 14. But if you stick to only LED, you can get a total of 18 in the back window before speed decreases.

Surprisingly though, the testing was done with the lights on and off. All those numbers that we found were when the lights were in the off position. When illuminated, the numbers can double and the CVPI will actually attain 158 miles per hour, overriding the governor. I saw it myself on the handheld KZPX55eSuperDeluxoid radar unit that the Mall has.

The guy who mentioned the antenna/speed association is correct, 5 is the magic number for top-end performance as long as green silicon hoses are in use in the coolant system.

The BMS will be publishing this data soon but unfortunately, The Gap has been running a two-year special on halter tops and has used up all the space on brentwoodmall.com.

Hope this helps
