One other problem with the Volusia decals is that in '87 almost every other FL county had similar markings. If you donate your car to them, you could possibly do it, but you still couldn't drive it. As far as the FHP, I don't think the colors are a problem, as I see them running around after auction still in bumblebee colors. FHP could probably give you a better answer than Volusia. Right now light bars of ANY color are subject to scrutiny here. I want to restore a FHP pre - 70 something and the legal matters are mind boggling. Even those special '40 Fords FHP has can't be driven by a FHP officer without written red tape. Check with the mustang sites as many of them have decals intact.

Experience has shown it doesn't matter how old the car is, 20, 30 or 40 years old, the bottom line is the most of the public thinks the cars are still in service and perception is everything, even if you reached someone, they would tell you no (NT)Dave M19:47:10 10/26/02 Sat
