It's an original 1968 FuryI PK41 383 powered police package sedan originally in service with the Albuquerque, NM PD until 1971. Original factory color was turquoise green with the standard police brown/tan vinyl and burlap interior. It was an umarked car with only a spotlight.

In 1971 it was sold at auction with 30k miles and owned/driven by the same guy until January, 2001 when his family sold the car after he died. By then the spotlight hole had been plugged, a white vinyl top had been added and it had 80k miles. It was purchased by a collector in SW Missouri who had plans of rebuilding it when I saw it and made him an offer. It still had the untransferred NM title when I bought it.

Now it's in the correct Chicago PD traffic division markings of the period. It will be at the show with many other vintage police cars and fire vehicles (and yes, even the famous storm chasers you've heard about) on Saturday, August 3rd.

Who else is coming?
