Catalina Morales esta viviendo su sueño

Catalina Morales ya se dio cuenta que en el certamen de Miss Universe los grupos de candidatas cada vez se consolidan más y todas andan siempre en los mismos grupos.
“Mi grupo son las representantes de Argentina, Colombia y Perú. También porque nosotras cuatro compartimos una misma madrina. Pero todo me sigue pareciendo un sueño. Anoche pude dormir cuatro horas, que eso es mucho para mí”, comentó la Miss Puerto Rico Universe 2015 a este diario quien posó para el fotógrafo oficial de Miss Universe Fadil Berisha con un concepto de los años 50 para el que la maquilló el puertorriqueño Paul Anthony que trabaja para la organización.
Conoció además a la diseñadora de los trajes de Miss Universe, Sherri Hill.
“Hicimos una conexión tan bonita que fue a quien primero le regalé y dediqué mi libro (De la adversidad al éxito mi otra corona). En todas las entrevistas me preguntan sobre la historia de mi papá y se muestran impresionados con el hecho de que haya escrito un libro sobre ello durante mi año como Miss Puerto Rico”.
Compartió la estudiante de Leyes de 25 años que poco a poco van llegando más puertorriqueños al hotel y que la emociona cada vez que le gritan “Puerto Rico” por los pasillos de la hospedería.
“Solo siento cosas bonitas. Felicidad, gratitud por la oportunidad de estar aquí, y no puedo creer todo el apoyo que he recibido de tanta gente. Estoy feliz y haciendo todo lo que está en mis manos para traernos esa corona”.

Miss Puerto Rico Universe 2016 comparte el hábito de la lectura

Rodeada de niños y niñas de la escuela elemental Ángeles Pastor en San Juan, Miss Puerto Rico Universe 2016, Kristhielee Caride, compartió hoy el valor de la lectura inaugurando una iniciativa escolar que busca fomentar este hábito en los estudiantes.
Caride destacó la importancia de tener metas y sueños que los ayuden a ser mejores personas. El proyecto, llamado Biblopatio, es una iniciativa de Pearson que esperan realizar en otras escuelas de la región San Juan.
"Estos proyectos son sumamente importantes ya que la educación es la base de toda sociedad. Nuestros niños y niñas deben tener el acceso y la oportunidad de aprovechar el fascinante mundo de la lectura", puntualizó la reina puertorriqueña.

Escandaliza a los fans foto de Miss Austria y Miss Rusia besándose

Lo que en unas partes del mundo es normal, en otras partes del mundo es un escándalo. Varios fans de la organización Miss Universo están alterados luego de ver una fotografía donde la candidata de Austria y la candidata de Rusia se saludan con un beso en los labios. Pero lo que muchos no saben es que en sus respectivos países esta es una manera normal de saludar.
La foto fue colgada en el Facebook "Miss Universo” y acompañada con el siguiente mensaje: “La foto que volvió loco a fans de miss universo aquí vemos a Miss Austria y miss Rusia! Qué pasó aquí?”.
Según elobservador.com, una de las costumbres de los rusos es que cuando están muy felices, suelen saludarse con un beso en la boca. Un ejemplo fue el caso de Kseniya Ryzhova y Yulia Gushchina, medallistas de oro rusas quienes se saludaron con un beso en la boca al terminar su participación en el Mundial de Moscú 2013. Sin embargo, esto es solo un ejemplo entre muchos de una lista que incluye hasta a jefes de Estado
La candidata de Rusia, Vladislava Evtushenko, ha cautivado a muchos por su esbelta figura. Tiene 19 años y mide cinco pies con nueve pulgadas. En su perfil en la página oficial de Miss Universo, Miss Rusia dijo que la mayoría de las personas no conocen cuán amables y simpáticos son los rusos.
Mientras que la candidata de Austria, Amina Dagi, tiene 20 años de edad y también mide cinco pies con nueve pulgadas. Dagi vivió hasta sus ocho años en Rusia, pero por situaciones políticas su familia decidió mudarse a Austria en donde se ha desarrollado como modelo y trabaja en varios proyectos caritativos.
La final de Miss Universo se celebrará en Las Vegas el próximo 20 de diciembre de 2015.

BIO: Whitney Shikongo is a native of the province of Huila in Angola. She began modeling at 13 years old and was crowned Miss Lobango at the age of 18. This year, Whitney was crowned Miss Huila and Miss Angola 2015. Whitney is determined, humble and above all cheerful.
Gabon: Ornella Obone
Age: 19
Height: 5’ 8”
BIO: Ornella Obone loves music and her dream is to be a famous singer and audition at American Idol next year. Ornella moved to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to continue her education. She learned English at the ELS Language Center and lived with a host family. Ornella has recently applied to the College Of Southern Nevada. She is planning to study political science and law to become a business lawyer in the future.
Ghana: Hilda Frimpong
Age: 26
Height: 5’ 8”
BIO: Hilda Frimpong enjoys running and devotes her free time to numerous charities. Hilda collects journals and loves writing in her spare time.

Mauritius: Sheetal Khadun
Age: 26
Height: 5’ 7”
BIO: Sheetal Khadun was born in the town of Rose-Hill on the island of Mauritius. She holds a degree in fashion design and textiles. She has held several positions within various charity organizations and has won several beauty pageants. She has also represented her country at an international level pageant. She has won many awards participating in beauty contests, art and painting competitions. Her dream is to become Miss Universe and help orphans.

BIO: Debbie Collins is the second daughter of four children, born in Lagos, Nigeria and partly raised in South Africa. She completed her high school education at the young age of 14 and went on to complete a degree in business information systems in Pretoria, South Africa. She is an old soul who has a love for poetry, books, rainfall and the sea. She believes in love, kindness, laughter and family and thinks that a genuine smile can brighten even the darkest of days. She possesses the ability to remain positive in the face of adversity and believes that determination and strength of character are the key components of success. Her hobbies include writing, reading and yoga. She also loves to spend time with her family.
South Africa: Refilwe Mthimunye
Age: 23
Height: 5’ 8”
BIO: Refilwe Mthimunye is a third year law student, model and founder of the Princesses Foundation. She hails from a small town called Bronkhorstspriut, where she grew up being raised by a single mother. Refilwe has assumed the responsibility of being an inspiring role model to her siblings. Her vision is to be the voice of her fellow disenchanted South Africans. She is currently focusing on raising awareness on the continuous abuse against women and children. She is the spokesperson for ZAZI, a campaign aimed at women under the leadership of the SA National AIDS Council. Refilwe hosts “Girl Talks” at high schools in various communities, whereby she gives inspirational talks on women empowerment. She believes in stewardship. She’s passionate about leaving her environment better than how she found it. She enjoys traveling, outdoor adventures and action netball. Her motto is “Put God first and the rest will follow”.

Tanzania: Lorraine Marriot
Age: 21
Height: 5’ 9”
BIO: Lorraine Marriot works as a model and is aspiring to be a pilot. She lives in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania with her five siblings and her mother. She started modeling at the age of four and has not stopped ever since. Despite her beauty and promising modeling career, Lorraine is also a high school graduate in science and is working toward admission to the Aviation Academy. She has modeled for top Tanzanian designers and also competed in Miss Grand International in 2014 representing Tanzania where she made it to the top 20. Lorraine is known for her quiet but determined nature and is nominated for Best Female Model of Tanzania at the Swahili Fashion Week.
The Miss Universe competition is aimed at empowering women to develop the confidence they need to achieve their personal best.

Entre el corre y corre de participar en Miss Universo, Catalina Morales, Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2015, se ha mantenido informando a sus seguidores en Internet sobre cada paso que da en el certamen que se lleva a cabo en Las Vegas, Nevada.
Morales Gómez tan pronto pisó la Ciudad del Pecado comenzó a publicar fotos y videos con algunas de las candidatas. A esta se la ha visto muy divertida y amigable con la candidata de Colombia, Ariadna Gutiérrez. También ha compartido con Mariana Jiménez; Miss Venezuela y la mexicana Wendy Esparza, entre otras.
La representante local realizó ayer sus fotos oficiales, las cuales serán publicadas próximamente en el portal del concurso internacional. En su sesión de traje de baño, la estudiante de Derecho lució una pieza de la reconocida marca Yamamay. Mientras, para la imagen de vestido de gala, Catalina eligió un vestido brillante del diseñador puertorriqueño Juan Carlos Collazo.
La competencia preliminar será el miércoles, 16 de diciembre, mientras la noche final se realizará el domingo, 20 de diciembre.
