Subject: New Job

I haven't be able to get onto the site for a couple of weeks, as we've just got a new hard drive and we are still trying to sort things out, not that good yet with computers!! Anyone my husband has found a new job, it's not one he actually went for but there was another job available and they kept him im mind, I was so relieved when he rang me about it! we were just oour way to Haworth in Yorks, to see the Bronte House and Museum. I have been to Haworth several times but never been in their house, don't know why, it was a really good visit, we took my daughter Laura aged nearly 9 and she wasn't a bit bored, she really enjoyed it and picked up a book on Charlott Bronte and is reading it slowly! Haworth is not too far from us here just over the county, it's only about 45 minutes from where I live in Blackburn.
My husband starts in September just before he would have finished his other job, so things have worked out ok. It's also handy to where we live and he can even walk to work, while I have to travel by train, lucky thing.

Valerie I'm glad to hear about the new job. Sounds like things have worked out really well. It's a big bonus considering your hubby can even walk to his workplace!

Congratulations to your husband on his new job! Your visit to Haworth sounds so nice. Some day I am going to get to see England!

Thanks for your messages- I am sleeping abit better now. At work they asked me if I would do more hours as we are getting a new computer system which won't now come in until next year, I just wanted to do one more day, I work 3 days at the moment, well they said it would have to be full time and for longer so I said yes at the time as my husband hadn't been told about his job, so I will working full time for maybe about 11 months starting from the second week in September. I haven't done these hours since my daughter was born but the money will come in handy!!
My daughter is not too keen, she does like me taking her to school, but she's nearly nine now and I have to do it, what would we do without parents?? They have come to our aid and will take her & pick her up from school. She finishes at 3.20pm, what time do your children finish? Some of my colleagues have to get a childre minder to take them, which is very costly!! Don't know how they manage it!
