Ann, I taped the movie. I'm in the middle of watching it 9it's taking a few days). If you really want to see it, i'll send you the tape when I'm finished. then just keep the tape. lemme know. next episode is supposed to be this Sat. night. (apr.2).

I watched it, not to be better then Beyond the Prairie but its still not that close to the books but making improvements.

I really enjoyed it. Although I haven't read the books in a while, it seemed as though the series was true to the books. I remember reading of the frozen river they had to cross and the family they met with their horses stolen.
Tim really enjoyed it, too. He thought the little girl was adorable (as did I). I cannot wait for the next show.

I saw about an hour of the second episode and thought thought it was a little overdone. Ma and Pa seem a bit too young, but good in the roles. Laura and Mary were cute, and looked a lot like L&M from the original LHOP, although this Mary almost looks younger than Laura. I did think they had Laura staring with a beaming smile just a little too much. Since this is part of a miniseries, I guess that's why it's so melodramatic. If it goes to series, I'd like to see it settle down a little, as I think it shows promise.

I cannot remember if Carrie was conceived in Kansas, but she was born there.

The Greenbush twins there even talked about this. They thought it was interesting that they were born exactly 100 years after the real carrie.

from what I remember, Carrie was born when Pa took the girls to the Indian camp and found all the beads.
