It hasn't rained dingleberries in so long. I think it is safe for everyone to come out and play.
I told Cindy we should go rile up the Walton fans and send them back here to retaliate. Anyone ready for a good, fun, fight? LOL

Hmmmm, a dilemma. I used to watch the Waltons (Pa was cute!). But I guess if I were to try rile up fans of The Waltons I could say our Almanzo could beat up your John-Boy. Heck, Laura could probably beat up John-Boy, lol.

I am also a fan of The Waltons... never missed a show in it's run, although I thought it went down hill when John-Boy got married. I always loved Grandma and Grandpa. But Ann, although Pa was kind of handsome.. his teeth were kind of bad... don't you remember that? I have a hard time believing you wouldn't see that given the fact that you couldn't stand cute little Alberts crooked little lips! I bet Pa Ingalls teeth weren't bad(Michael Landons were good anyway, hehehe) Let's see..."Character against Character war" .. hmmmm....I am not good at fighting.. but.. Laura against Mary Ellen....(on the shows).. Laura could definitely SPIT faster and further than Mary Ellen any day, and didn't end up with a new boyfriend every week like Naughty Mary Ellen. I agree with Ann, too, that Almanzo could kick John-boys butt anyday.. even while suffering from his stroke, he could knock that pencil pushing, type writing maniac for a loop all the way Down Waltons Mountain! Is that mean enough, or do I need to work on it? Lol!

Walton Pa just had a space between his two front teeth, and it was adorable. No caps for him, unlike a certain other "Pa" :)L :D

HONEY PIE, PLEASE DON'T TELL ME YOU ARE BASHING MICHAEL LANDONS "PA"! PLEASE SAY IT ISN'T SO...I Seem to remember thinking that Pa Walton looked like he dipped snuff! Poor Ma Walton, that her hubby didn't have pearly whites like "Pa Ingalls". Pa Ingalls must have been much more kissable.

I wasn't bashing LHOP Pa, just because he could afford pretty teeth, LOL. I think they were both kissable! We saw Pa Walton kiss Olivia a lot more than we saw PA LHOP kiss Ma. Plus, we saw Pa Walton in his long johns a lot more often. Whoo, whoo!

Okay okay, I'll admit that my brother and I watched Emergency every day - and yes, I loved John Gage too DH and I were watching a couple months ago for old time sake - boy - it was pretty bad. LOL!!!

It seemed sooooo realistic, way back when I was 8, but when my DH and I were watching a re-run about 2 weeks ago, we were nearly on the floor laughing our heads off. They were at a house fire, and miraculously put the whole thing out in about 6.325 seconds, with nary a puff of smoke to be seen immediately thereafter (nor smoke, water or fire damage to the inside of the house, my word). Not only that, but when they had to remove the patient from the scene, one guy grabbed his shoulders, one guy took the feet and they hauled him away with his bum nearly bouncing on the floor with every step they made. All this taking place while the patient's wife, with curiously perfect hair, was wailing, "Oh, ______, are you okay?".
I think that was the most we could stand and must have changed channels. Either that, or God was truly merciful and obliterated further scenes from my memory.
(Hey, was this a Waltons thread or an Emergency thread?! Just wondering. Sorey to have gone off topic. Again.)

I never watched The Waltons more than just occasionally , but maybe it was because I really loved the show Emergency when I was a kid and THAT was what I watched on a never-ending basis. All of my Grade 3 girlfriends and I had huge crushes on John Gage! C'mon, someone else admit to that ... we can't possibly have been the only ones!
Wow. Dingleberries. I'd forgotten all about him. *sniff* The memories.... ;-)

One problem I see going on here.... John Boy and our PA.... SAME PERSON! LOL!!!!! SO if we are to say that Almanzo can whip John-Boy's butt does that mean he can whip Pa's butt too???

If you pit John-Boy against LHOP Pa in a fist fight, Pa wins. If you pit Pa Walton against LHOP Pa, Pa W wins (partly because Grandpa W will jump in and help). If you pit John-Boy agains LHOP in an intellectual competition, JB wins. (Gotta stick up for the writer.)

It seems like everyone is picking on my Darlin' Pa Ingalls, who is, by the way, the best looking, by far the strongest, and maybe he doesn't have as much book sense, like little ole John Boy, but but when it comes to common sense, he is all there! And Pa Ingalls( at least on the show) is left handed, and you know what they say about left handed people..."they are the ones that are in their right minds"!
P.S.. ok, I had a crush on John Gage too,.. I even remember his real name.. Randy Mantooth? He was a cutie.
