I finished all my shopping two days ago! And....everything is wrapped! I cannot believe it. I'm hoping to put the tree up this Sunday also.

Great. Just great. Now I really feel slow. The woman is 6 months' pregnant and SHE has all HER shopping done, while the last time I was 6 months' pregnant was in 1997, and my shopping for 2002 remains to be done. LOL Seriously, well done, and just think, next year you'll have a 10-month, possibly walking (cruising, at any rate!), toddler to buy for. THEN you'll really have fun.

My kids get such a bang out of Christmas, we have a lot of fun together. Today we're making applesauce and cinnamon ornaments for one of their trees, and I have to dry apple slices to make a wreath with them tomorrow. They make the house smell fabulous. Their Daddy is also the resident Santa Claus for our town, and he is on full duty for the next few weeks with countless appearances. They love watching him do the transformation into Father Christmas from plain ol' Daddy.

We always put the main living room tree up on Grey Cup Sunday too. Almost all of my other decorations are up, the festive CDs are playing and I have perfected my eggnog and shortbread recipes yet again. It's weird, I really feel like I *need* Christmas this year, even if we do lack snow at the moment.

Speaking of Grey Cup .... who are you cheering for? Go Eskies!! (I'm a born-and-bred Edmontonian, what can I say?!)
