Wow! Everyone puts up their tree so early. I decorate the house and put up the lights the day after Thanksgiving, but we don't get a tree until about 2 weeks before Christmas. We go out and cut a fresh one, and it's still drying out a few days after Christmas. How do you get one stay stay fresh for over a month???

Hello Everyone,

It's nice reading about how everyone else handles the Christmas onslaught and all the demands of the festive season! (Cards, presents, cooking, tree etc)

I am totally behind this year. I have not made my cards yet, must get on to that, I should probably just buy them this year or make them on the computer. I have done about 1/2 my shopping, but we don't go over the top with presents usually - the kids are happy with just a few special things and they get spoiled by other relatives anyway. Like Ann, we don't put the tree up until about 2 weeks before as we have birthdays in our house in early December so that keeps the kids excited anyway.

I think once the 1st of December hits I will probably start to feel more Christmasy. It usually hits me about then. I am really looking forward to hearing all those Christmas carols, must get my Christmasy cd's out!
