Yes Johnny Cash did guest in lhotp. He played a man that him and his wife took in Rev. Alden when he was sick. Johnny Cash took the Rev. clothes and dress as a rev. and went to walnut grove to get people to donate money for some town or something but he was really gonna keep the money for him and his wife. In the end the Rev. Alden showed up but He didn't tell the people the real reason johnny cash was there and rev. alden took the money to give to reason it was collected but gave all the credit to johnny cash. And also yes it was Ernest Borgnine that played in the lord is my shephard, where baby freddie died.

Johnny Cash played a man who was pretending to be a preacher and in doing so, swindled the Good people of Walnut Grove out of lots of money.... and then got a conscience in the end and fessed up. Earnest was supposed to be an angel sent by God.... although Laura didn't know that..... but we as the viewers knew it.... and at the end, Charles and Mr. Edwards had that same feeling about it too.

Thanks Delores and Cindy. On the Ernest Borgnine one I'd had it in my mind that it was only in Laura's mind that the character he played was God or an angel, but now that you mention it, it seems more LHOP-like that he would have really been sent by God.
