Dean Butler will be appearing in Walnut Grove on July 13-14. He'll be speaking on Saturday and both autographing and answering questions, plus riding in a parade on Sunday.

Merlin Oleson *may* be there the following weekend.

I'll be there (g).

There's also another adult LIW Conference in De Smet this summer, on August 10. Still working on the details, but it will not be research-based presentations this year. It will be workshops for teachers on using the LH books in classroom / homeschool situations.

There's only been one conference so far. Last year, only about 50 people were there; it was hardly advertised. And as long as it's held at the Congregational Church, they can't have more than about 80 people, because it won't hold more than that.

There was a big conference at Herbert Hoover Library in 1998, with hundreds of people there, but it had big name speakers: Anderson, Miller, Romines, and others.

Hi Nancy,
That's exciting. I wish I could be there. You will have to tell us all about it.

How are you doing? We are fine. Let's keep in touch.
