My Dear Christian eFriend,
The following prayer request came to me from my friend Laurie Magers, Executive Assistant to Zig Ziglar. Normally I would put this out to the prayer request list. Today I felt moved to share this with all of you.
Can I ask that you pass this prayer request along to all of your prayer partners? Thank you for your help.
You eFriend in Christ,Tim

I've enjoyed Zig for years, especially his willingness to share
his faith.
In light of that, can you share this e-mail with him . . .

My family and I could really use your prayers right now. I just
saw the
doctor who has been keeping a lump at the base of my neck under
observation
over the past month or so.

He is now sending me to St. Josephs for a CAT Scan to see if a
biopsy is
required or if it is just plain old scientific confirmation that
I truly am a
lump-head or fat-head.

The concern stems that most of my relatives have passed away
with cancer or
some are currently suffering from cancer--including my mother
who is a breast
cancer survivor--and most of my family was fairly young.
Albeit, not as
young as I am right now.

The last thing my normally fun-loving doctor did was pause a
moment and ask
me how old I was. I said 34 and then he didn't say anything
until the exam
was over, then he asked me to call him after the results are
known from the
CAT Scan.

Please pray that the lump disappears or at least is found to be
nothing.

Then join me in a prayer that I've prayed since May 26th, 1995,
the day
Ashlyn was born--that Jennifer and I would grow old together and
live long
enough to see our children become strong Christian leaders and
good, loving
parents who raise our grandchildren to be strong Christian
leaders as well.
May our generations serve the Lord and may it be said that "As
for me and my
household, we shall serve the Lord."

I love being a daddy and a husband and look forward to many more
years to
come serving God in that role.

Thank you for your prayers. If your church has a prayer chain,
could you
please include us? We serve a truly great Creator and
Physician.

And, please say a special prayer for Jennifer. This has been
particularly
hard on her. She's given so much of herself to ensure that her
dream of a
close, unified, strong family was realized within in the walls
of her home
that she works so hard to create and she invests so much in each
one of us.
She can't bear the thought that a CAT scan would even be
needed. What a
blessing to have a family founded upon Christ at a time like
this. But, it
would mean a lot to me personally if you also pray that God's
peace would
engulf her right now and that her gauntlet of a heart would be
filled and
spill over with Peace, Love and Joy of Christ--even now.

In Christ <>
