Subject: every time I read this I think, "you should wear whatever you feel great in", but then I think, bubble gum pink is usually associated with very young girls. The stigma alone may get your scores down and it won't be fair to you. but it happens

[> [> Subject: Pink is my all-time favorite color and I've avoided it for all those reasons. I found a gown that I absolutely loved the stye, it fit like a glove and it was bubble-gum pink. I took a chance and won my first ever over-all supreme over girls much younger than me, I'm 45. : ) On my score sheet for gown the comment read "you looked so beautiful, graceful and confident, the style was perfect and the color was spot-on".! If you love it & feel great it will show!!

Just make sure the style is age-appropriate.

[> [> [> Subject: great story, but I am concerned that in a big 3 or major pageant, where you aren't compared to little girls, it just won't fly. However, I always agree with the old adage that if you feel great in it, you'll probably do great on stage.

[> [> [> [> Subject: I didn't say little girls, I said girls younger than me, 20+...stay clear of empire waists and those weird mermaid gowns... .the color rocked, but it was the styling that made the gown. Very very age-appropriate..
