Great homecoming win for the Raiders!

Gorgeous, gorgeous day, and what a tale of two halves. The tipped interception at the HC 10 yd line, ugh...looked like another week of red zone points left on the field. Stopped on 3rd & 4th downs with an inch to go...and couldn't punch it in...my eyes swelled with tears. Fortunately, we returned the favor during a key point in the 2nd half and the payback was sweet. As predictable as our running play was in the first half, so were Pujals's passing plays...every single one of them to the sidelines for 8-12 yards. Thought he was a highly-praised recruit but his untimely pass interceptions have been Colgate's gain over the years.

Quazza's TD was a thing of beauty...don't hear his name enough, why??? With Greenwalt, Maddaluna and Quazza, our passing game could be a great complement to our running game. The clock control with our run is our bread-and-butter. I think many of Melville's passes are low, anyone else? I am still not sold on him but his stats after each game tell a different story, I guess.

No blocked field goals...and a bit better on the penalties. Thrilled for the win but not sure HC was our greatest test. Hopefully those tough, early games highlighted our flaws enough to fix some of them.

Have said it before...why did they extend Gilmore's contract? Rumors are Coen at Lehigh may be in the hot seat...again. Princeton offense looks good again this year and we play them in 2 weeks.

I have never understood the negative reaction to the play calling on this board. The offense has been predicated on the inside zone and gap scheme power with read options available. These plays are/have been used to set up the passing game, even when we had dominate receivers. Every offense has an identity, I bet Navy fans do not complain about running the triple option so much. You would think all of the negative feedback here that 'gate has had the same type of performance as Bucknell or Georgetown over the last 10 years that we have been running this offense.

Great when it is effective as it was in Worcester, but not so great when it doesn't as in the 4th quarter against Yale. There are time when you have to run something different or pass to keep the defense honest. If the offensive line isn't dominating a little finesse is needed.
