Year #3 in schollies and please tell me...do we really see any tangible improvement in this program...I had my strong doubts when Hunt became coach and, although I still wish him success, these concerns are increasing...frankly, I think the entire coaching staff, in part because we won't pay assistant coaches decent bucks, is mediocre at best...this team looked lifeless today...they have now become what virtually every other Colgate sports team pursues: striving for mediocrity for we are embarrassed to give the impression we want to be good...look at the hockey team...$38Million to build a new rink while we issue 4 (and not 4.5 scholarships) per year...what do we think will happen? "Oh Colgate I'm the next Bobby Orr and I'd like to play for you next year." Football will be around .500 because the Patriot League sucks; hockey will be .500 because we don't see the necessity of making A FULL EFFORT to compete; basketball will be .300 since nobody gives a shit anyway...business as usual

Indeed Maven, you're right and I give you credit...sadly, my comments still stand...honestly, do you really think we are committed to maximizing our success in football and hockey, especially the latter when we have 23 on the roster, even allowing for NHL defections...we recruit one great class (class of 2016), then add three very mediocre classes while forking out $38 million for a new facility...does that make sense? No recruiting in the USHL, virtually NONE while every other DI program has from 5-10 on their respective rosters...I feel for the Class of 2016; they deserved better and so do us, the die hard and generous fans of Gate hockey...

I had my strong doubts when Hunt became coach

BIG mistake was made by not conducting a national search to replace biddle!!! surely a pool of very good candidates would have emerged. if after that hunt proved to be the best choice (i doubt it) then give it to him
