Gate Raider,
I'm being honest instead of being shrill.

I said the offensive line and defensive line were outplayed. This was the game. The kicking game could have kept Colgate in it and Colgate could have stolen the game in the 4th--a made chip shot field goal would have put them down 7 with 13 minutes left.

Russell played very well. If you watched the game, you saw him spinning and fighting for yards. Holland's stats were much better in the Holy Cross game. He also got to the second level untouched a lot. This is going to help you have a better yards per carry--and I'm a big Holland fan.

Frankly, you are an absolute moron for calling out a kid you've never seen play for being 5'6". Darren Sproles is 5'6". One of the best players Colgate played against in the '80's was Pinball Clemons. He is 5'6" and was impossible to tackle and keep track of because he would disappear behind bigger people (which was everyone).
Read about him:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pinball_Clemons

The team Hunt took over was down 42-7 at half to Fordham in the last game with Biddle as head coach:

http://espn.go.com/college-football/recap?gameId=333272142

He has had two years of very few senior starters. There are basically four this year. Next year, 13 of the current juniors should be starting and the team will have basically as many scholarship players as most of the teams they are playing. The team is 2-4. There we in every one of these games except Navy in the 4th quarter. There are plenty of reasons to be disappointed today. There is also a lot of season left and a championship to be won.

Here's an idea Maven will tell me is dumb. Put Connor Buck at fullback. I have no idea if the fullbacks at playing well--just not a position I naturally watch as the play develops. But that kid is strong and can run.

I never see 31 miss tackles. Seems like a good one to have on the field--but I don't know what else he may not be doing as well as others.

Play action to Quazza. Run that entirely too much. Kid is always open.

Don't tell Quazza the snap count. Make him watch the ball. He's too good to go offsides this often.

Get Maddaluna the ball over the middle on play action. Kid is so good with the ball in space.

QB draws work well.

Melville locks in when he goes deep left. Needs to be able to look off that guy. When he sees single coverage deep left he is throwing it there. Kid looks good on pump fakes and play action. Defenses are so ready to be aggressive against Colgate's O. Any deception in the pass game really opens things up.

Georgetown beat up on Lafayette today.

Go 'gate!

Someone asked who evaluates the football program? Whoever they are I hope they are on campus and at games more often than not.

Yale and Princeton were both lost in the 4th quarter....not a sign of a disciplined team! well coached trams play 4 quarters! connor buck is NOT a fullback. 92 look average at best at FB 32 has looked very good....why didn't he play until the cornell game? injury? whay after a very good opening series yesterday (nice blocking including the 1st TD and a catch) did he not go in again as NO FB was used the rest of the way? injured?
FB is not the issue and the "best front 7 in 20 years" apparently needs all the help it can get, including 99 !! 55 out for the season hurts BUT if the D was 1/2 as good as advertised it would be playing a lot better!! bad coaching!!! 37 & 38 are good the other 2 LB's are NOT!
Quazza is underused and misused....why would you not throw him a jump ball in the endzone???? they NEVER do!!!! I could go on and on but I think I made my point??

the entire D has tackled very poorly

Connor Buck played FB in high school in short yardage situation. 38 had a poor game yesterday. And yes tackling was poor. 32 did have a good play and should be on the field more.

I understand and agree on 38 & 32 I feel comfortable with 24 in short yardage situation, it's the play calling that kills us! how about an occasional screen!!!!!

After having a night to sleep on this disaster and looking at yesterday's scores, I can only say we need a big change in most aspects of our game plan if we are to beat the Hoyas - now the "Beasts of the Patriot League." Who could have ever dreamed this scenario? What a revoltin' development.

and the Hoyas have a sr QB (3 yr starter) that can throw the ball around the yard and gate can't cover period!
I am amazed at how quickly/early the corners and the LB's bail !!! to me that is poor coaching!!!!!! and this could make for a VERY long day in DC
