Subject: Refining PL FB Parity in the next couple of weeks

We all talk about the parity in Pl football this year............................
..... Hoyas ( 3-3 ) 38 Pards ( 1-5 ) 7... Parity ?
...And in our heads, we really think that, in the end, none of this Parity-stuff matters…Gate fans will ultimately be compensated for their patience with an up and down season. In the end it’s going to come down to gate
( 2-4 ) and Fordham ( 5-1 ), sporting bonafide tough o.o.c. schedules pounding it out for the PL championship two weeks from this Saturday. When fans refer to Parity in PL football this season, they're referring to any team winning on any given Saturday, not the parity of rosters or o.o.c. competition. Either the (1-5 ) Pards, sporting a good o.o.c. schedule or the ( 3-3 ) Hoyas sporting a cupcake o.o.c. schedule are better or worse than their records indicate on any given Saturday. Although Bucknell ( 3-2, 0-1 ), with their deceptive cupcake o.o.c. schedule,( sans Army this week) has probably already taken themselves out of championship hunt along with Holy Cross and Lafayette with one loss in the books.

By the end of the next three Saturdays, all of the undefeated teams in the P.L. will have played other undefeated teams. What a set up it might be, with a bye for gate in the the week following a smackdown of the Hoyas.

With spirits raised, gate will be able to rest the wounded and focus on Fordham for the two weeks leading up to the inevitable big game in Hamilton. The Rams have 2 consecutive games with teams coming off bye weeks. Lehigh ( 3-3 ) plays the Rams next week after their bye this week. The Rams are coming off of a narrow win last week with a last minute 3 point victory at (1-3) Penn. By the time gate gets the Rams at home in two weeks, the hope is that Holy Cross ( 2-3 ) this week and Lehigh ( 3-3 ) the following week, in desperate search of respectability leave nothing on the field in the Bronx. And a diminished roster for the Rams to bring to Hamilton.

But, wait….we have to beat a rising GT team first…and not look ahead…..something I’m sure Coach Hunt has been harping on all week.
Gate can’t afford to be looking ahead to the big game with Fordham and/or take Georgetown lightly. As stated, Parity means anything goes from week to week. Gate has to come out of the chute and play a very good game for 60 minutes against the hungry Hoyas. Not only does GT have some 'mo. They have the added incentive of having beaten gate only once during their tenure in the P.L. For it to come down to Gate and Fordham in two weeks,

Gate has to control the one thing in its power…beat the Hoyas this weekend!

And don't forget the Hoyas one-point loss to us in 2003, our championship season. Anything can happen this Saturday.

They won't have a chance against Fordham, be realistic!!

Nice to see that Mr. Reality is so positive and providing some encouragement to the team. Not exactly helpful. Yes, Fordham will be a tough game, but as they say...."that's why they play the game."
Buzz off Reality.
But let focus first on G'town. They have a very good quarterback and they trounced Lafayette. Will need to pressure Nolan and run and control the ball.
Good luck, Red Raiders.
