Good point and while I think the coaching is lacking, Hunt didn't miss the field goals, Hunt didn't miss the passes, Hunt didn't make the penalties, but there is something wrong that Hunt needs to fix.

Wilkens looks better this year even though there aren't big holes being opened for him. Glad to see the platoon system for RB's may have ended. If there is a better passer on the sidelines, he deserves a chance on the field. This game should have been in the bag at the half. Run on 1st down, run on 2nd down and its 3rd and 10 and the defense knows the pass is coming and covers. Predictable plays make it easy for the defense and are killing Colgate. I think passing on 1st down is allowed but, you wouldn't know it watching Colgate. There is no spark, urgency or whatever on the team and it looks like it could be a long season. I hope Colgate is not in for a several year funk on the gridiron. Very frustrating.

For what's it's worth, seems like he wasn't pulled from the Colgate game.

In terms of scholarships,
FBS schools have 85
Stony Brook and UNH have 63
Colgate has 45

When it comes to scholarships, Colgate is playing catch up.

As for perspective on scheduling, Furman went 3-9 last year and had to shut down their football forum at one point because it got so nasty.

They got blown out by Virginia Tech in their second game. On Saturday, they played their second FBS school this season--UCF and won. The best teams in FCS schedule these games. If you want to be at the top of the FCS and get the top recruits in the FCS, you schedule these games.
