Subject: QB's and RB;s

Just some speculation here. Regarding the QB's, clearly Melville has the nod as the starter and I'm not sure he has had the opportunity to demonstrate his ability given his long absence last year. Expectation for Mooney were high but, he was thrown into an uncomfortable position last year which makes judging his true capability difficult. Who's next on the list should Colgate find itself in the same position as last year? I had heard much chatter about Attwood. Is he healthy? Would Hunt be bold enough to make a change, if anticipated performance is lacking?
Some time ago I had read or heard that Hunt was moving away from the platoon system at RB. What happened? I don't think using three RB's has worked at all. None of the RB's have been able to smoothly mesh with Melville's hand-offs and using three of them doesn't allow any of them to be in sync with the game.
There is something different about this team. Something seems to be missing, but I suppose it is just my impression after many years of consecutive teams with quite strong QB's and RB's.

Give it 3-4 games to see if your view changes.

He was just waiting for the right opportunity to share his way of looking at the world.

I always enjoy contrasting the depth of perception of GR to 'gate80--two ends of a spectrum.

Well, poster with no name, let's hear your opinion. 'gate is into its third year of scholarships. That is probably something between $25,000 to $50,000 a year (or $100,000 to $200,000 over four years) for each scholarship player. When a player gets paid to play expectations rise. Sorry but, thus far I have not seen much difference from the non-scholarship players over the last 10 years. It might be early and Navy was a tough opponent but, after three years of scholarships I don't see a QB or RB that deserves wow as an adjective. Hunt said he thinks the line is the best he has seen in 20 years. I hope they can live up to his praise.

I have watched the last 7 raider squads and in my very humble opinion, this years O-line is far from the best in those 7 years. previous lines were more athletic and had much better feet.

I believe Hunt said the defensive front seven is the best he's seen !

4 of the 5 starters on this year's OLine were starters on opening day of last year's OLine. All 4 started at least 9 games last year. Furthermore, 3 of the 5 were starters on the 2013 OLine. Did they get worse in your opinion?
