Subject: Bracket Finals

I am truly sorry for some of you not liking the way the track was ran and how the points were handled. I don't know who told what, but I talked to Frank at IHRA and this is what he advised.25 top,20 n/e and 5 Jrs. simply because the jrs have their own finals at Baton Rouge. When we were NHRA we took the top 50 regardless of who it was. We did the best we could with the schedule, knowing that the track had to make money or we could not stay. Therefore some of the changes were made on that decision. I you notice, there are NO spectators in the stands on bracket racing night. If we get to keep the track,we will try to work out a plan to let the Jrs. have their early time, but we have several that parents race also.We have done this for 30 years and know we can't please everyone, but we do appreciate those who give us a little credit for trying to keep Dallas Raceway going. It is a great track and I think we have a good crew also.Ken works,by himself during the week to keep the track mowed, cleaned, track scraped and anything he has to do to keep the cost down. So I apologize to those we have affended and appreciate all the positive comments. We love all racers old and new.We are honored to be in the NHRA HALL OF FAME. IHRA has also turned out to be an organization that we are proud to be involved in also. All comments are welcome, bad or good and keep your fingers crossed that we can make it next year.
