In A Minute Continued

"In a minute, I will hear your prayer."
Says the Lord On high.
"But haven't I done enough for you."
"After all, I only died."

"In a minute I will answer you."
Says Jesus to a prayer just given.
"There is so much I have to do."
"Isn't it enough that I have risen?"

"In a minute I will help you."
"Prayer oh can't
you see?"
"I have so many prayers to answer."
"Oh you say
It might be cancer?"

"In a minute I will hold you."
"Prayer, Oh come on!"
"You can stand a little pain?"
"After all you don't have long."

Can you imagine,
being put off.
As we put Him off each day?
It makes one want to bow there head,
and Pray and Read and pray.

If the Lord looked away,
for but a second of a day
The earth would fall and fall and fall,
and evaporate away.
