CREATIVITY


Can you hear trees blowing, can you feel the wind carress
Can you see the raven calling, my head is quite a mess
A bit of this, a bit of that, a dabble here and there
This canvas I have painted, still seems plain and bare
Creative this and creative that, can't we all just think.
If I keep reading crap like this, I'm going in the drink
Take care the tricks we play to brighten our current state
I want, I do, I try, have I too much on my plate
Do we want to fall into the colorful void laid out like satin sheets,
waiting to envelop all we know to what we try to think?
I think of not what can I see or what I try to say,
I of sound body and mind can't write a poem, nay.
But what of all those nifty folk giving it a try
Who cannot live a day without saying who am I
They are artists, they are poets, creative sorts are they
Walking down a colored path and seeing all but grey.

I may be happy, I may be sad, I might be just a fool,
but give me life, and happiness as my own creative tool.
